Introducing Lykos Training Center: Building on a Legacy, Creating the Future of Firearms Training in Rochester, MA
Lykos Training Center is proud to introduce our independently owned and operated outdoor firearms training facility in Rochester, Massachusetts, dedicated to providing professional instruction, practical skill development, and responsible firearms education in a safe, welcoming environment.
Located on the range property formerly operated by Fox Den Solutions, Lykos represents the next chapter for a facility that has long been respected within the regional shooting community. When the property became available, we were honored that Fox Den Solutions entrusted us with carrying its legacy forward. Their confidence in our vision—and their continued encouragement and support throughout our transition—has meant more to us than words can express.
While Lykos Training Center is an entirely new company with its own identity, mission, and training philosophy, we recognize the strong foundation that came before us. Our goal has never been to replace that legacy, but to build upon it while creating something uniquely our own: a place where responsible firearms owners can continue learning, growing, and developing meaningful, real-world skills.
Since acquiring the property in January 2026, we have invested in improvements to the shooting bays, facility infrastructure, and overall training environment. The result is a professional outdoor training facility designed to support everything from foundational firearms education to advanced movement-based drills, competitive shooting preparation, defensive applications, and specialty training that simply cannot be replicated on a traditional static indoor range.
Founded on the belief that training should be practical, purposeful, and accessible, Lykos welcomes students of every experience level—from those seeking their Massachusetts License to Carry to first-time firearm owners, law enforcement officers, or experienced civilian shooters looking to sharpen existing skills or prepare for competition.
Our current training curriculum includes:
Massachusetts Basic Firearms Safety (BFS) courses required for License to Carry applicants

Pistol Mounted Optics / Red Dot instruction
Introduction to Competitive Shooting

As Lykos continues to grow, so will our course offerings. We are excited to introduce additional programs including women's-only firearms training, shotgun instruction, low-light shooting, and other specialty courses designed to meet the evolving needs of our shooting community.
One area that is especially important to us is expanding opportunities for women to train in a supportive, professional environment. We believe every responsible firearm owner deserves the confidence that comes from quality instruction, and we are committed to developing programs that empower women with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to protect themselves and those they care about.
Beyond serving the civilian shooting community, Lykos Training Center is also an ideal training resource for municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies seeking reliable outdoor range access, firearms qualifications, instructor development, and specialized firearms training. Our flexible outdoor facility provides agencies with opportunities to conduct realistic training in a controlled environment while working around their operational needs.
