Pistol Combatives

Advanced

COURSE DETAILS

How does a real fight actually start? Many times we envision the fight starting at distance with both our hands free, which may happen. But more often, you may be holding a child’s hand, carrying items, or suddenly confronted at close range. This one-day Pistol Combatives course is designed to help students learn how to employ various force options at different ranges. The course focuses on transitioning between empty hand skills, edged weapons, and pistol use when appropriate. Students will refine pistol fundamentals, develop a concealed draw stroke under pressure, learn combative weapons retention shooting, and work through practical drills that integrate movement, striking, grappling, blade deployment, and pistol deployment. The goal is to develop the ability to make sound decisions and apply the appropriate tool or technique based on distance, position, and situational context. The evolution of Integrated Combatives is a direct result of Sayoc and the Warriors that have put their teachings into practice. COURSE OVERVIEW: - Mindset and decision making in close-range encounters - Loading procedures and safe gun handling - Refinement of pistol fundamentals - Concealed draw stroke - Combative weapons retention shooting - Blade design and selection - Blade deployment and targeting - Striking and stand-up grappling - Transitions between striking, grappling, blade use, and pistol deployment COURSE REQUIREMENTS: - Valid Massachusetts License to Carry (LTC) - Handgun, full size or compact (no subcompacts) - 4–5 standard capacity pistol magazines - Concealed carry holster (all kydex from a reputable manufacturer.
